From Flat Tyre to Back on the Road — In 3 Steps
No app, no membership to remember. Here is exactly what happens from your first call to you driving away.
Call or WhatsApp Us With Your Location and Tyre Size
Tell us where you are and what you drive. Your tyre size is printed on the sidewall (something like 205/55 R16) — read it out, or send us a photo on WhatsApp. A real dispatcher answers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you get the price upfront, before we dispatch.
A Technician Is Dispatched
Our control room sends the nearest available technician from our 105-strong fleet and nationwide partner network. Most UK drivers are reached in under 45 minutes, and you get an ETA on the call.
Repaired, Replaced or Recovered
Your technician assesses the tyre and tells you straight what's possible. A safe puncture is repaired. If it can't be repaired, the tyre is replaced. And if it can't be done at the roadside, we recover your vehicle — same company, same call.
What Is Mobile Tyre Repair & Replacement?
Mobile tyre repair and replacement means a technician comes to your home, work or the roadside, assesses the tyre, repairs it where it's safe to do so, or replaces it on the spot — no garage visit needed. And if it can't be done at the roadside, we recover your vehicle. Recovery Giant reaches most UK drivers in under 45 minutes, fully insured, with no membership.
Tyre Problems We Handle
From a nail in the tread to a blowout at 70mph. Whatever's happened to your tyre, we come to you.
Puncture — nail or screw
Picked something up? Often repairable on the spot.
Blowout
A tyre gone at speed. Get safe, then call us.
Slow puncture or leak
Losing pressure every few days? We'll find it.
No spare wheel
Most new cars don't have one. We still get you moving.
Flat while parked
Woken up to a flat on the drive? We come to you.
Sidewall damage
Cut, bulge or cords showing — that's a replacement.
Kerbed or buckled wheel
Hit a pothole or kerb? We'll assess it honestly.
Locking wheel nut lost
Lost the key? Tell us when you call.
Whatever the damage, we'll get you moving
Repaired where it's safe, replaced where it isn't — and if it can't be done at the roadside, we recover your vehicle. One call covers all three.
Can My Puncture Be Repaired?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no — and a safe repair follows strict rules (BS AU 159). Here's how we decide, so you know before we arrive.
Can a sidewall puncture be repaired?
No. The sidewall flexes constantly as you drive, so a repair there can't be trusted at speed — it's never safe to repair a sidewall. The same goes for the shoulder (the curved edge of the tread). That tyre needs replacing, and we'll tell you straight rather than patch something unsafe.
No Spare Wheel? You're Not Stuck
Most new cars don't come with a spare — just a sealant kit in the boot. Here's what that actually means, and why it's often not the answer.
What the sealant kit won't do
What to do instead
- Don't drive on a flat — it destroys the tyre and can damage the wheel and suspension.
- Don't reach for the sealant first — call us and we'll tell you if it's repairable.
- We come to you — repaired where safe, replaced where not, recovered if neither.
- Got a space-saver in the boot? Tell us when you call and we'll factor it in.
My car has no spare wheel — what do I do?
You don't need one. Call us and stay put — we come to you, assess the tyre and repair or replace it on the spot. If it can't be done there, we recover the vehicle. A spare was never the only option.
Should I use the sealant kit in my boot?
Usually, no. It only works on a small hole in the tread, it's a temporary fix at low speed, and it can contaminate a tyre we could otherwise have repaired. Call first — it costs you nothing to ask.
Repaired, Replaced or Recovered
A tyre fitter can only do two of these. If your tyre can't be saved, or they haven't got your size, they leave and you wait for a recovery truck. We're a recovery company that does tyres — so one call covers all three.
1. Repaired — where it's safe
A nail or screw in the tread, caught before you drove on it flat, is usually a straightforward roadside repair. We assess it against the safety standard, fix it properly, and you drive away. No garage, no tow, no wasted day.
See when a puncture can be repaired2. Replaced — where it isn't
Sidewall damage, a blowout, or cords showing means the tyre can't be repaired safely — so it gets replaced instead. We won't patch something that isn't safe just to get you moving, and we'll tell you exactly why.
3. Recovered — when it can't be done there
A buckled wheel, an unsafe spot on a motorway, damage beyond a tyre — sometimes the roadside just isn't the answer. That's where a tyre fitter runs out of options and we don't: we recover your vehicle to a garage, your home or wherever it needs to go. Same company, same call, no second wait.

A flat tyre is inconvenient, not dangerous — as long as you handle the next few minutes properly. Here's what to do.
Slow down and pull over
Ease off gently — don't brake hard or swerve. Get as far off the carriageway as you safely can, then put your hazards on.
Don't drive on a flat
Even a short distance can destroy the tyre and damage the wheel — turning a simple repair into a replacement, or worse.
Call us and stay put
We'll give you an ETA on the call and keep you updated. Have your tyre size ready if you can — it's on the sidewall.
Stay visible
Keep your hazards on. At night or in poor weather, make sure you can be seen and keep well away from moving traffic.
On a motorway? Get behind the barrier
Pull onto the hard shoulder or into an emergency area, hazards on, and exit through the left-hand door. Then get behind the safety barrier and away from the vehicle — don't sit inside it, and never attempt a tyre change on the hard shoulder. Call us, and call 999 if you feel unsafe.
Can I drive a short distance on a flat tyre?
No. Driving on a flat wrecks the tyre's internal structure and can damage the wheel, suspension and brakes. It also means a tyre we could have repaired now needs replacing. Stop where it's safe and call us — that's cheaper and safer than pushing on.

Punctured, blown out, or no spare in the boot — we come to you and sort it. Here is what drivers say.
"Nail in the tyre on the school run. They came to the house, repaired it there and then, and I didn't lose the morning. Brilliant."
"Told me straight that the sidewall couldn't be repaired safely, rather than patching it to get paid. Replaced it instead. That's rare, and I'll use them again."
"Blowout on the motorway with no spare. They couldn't sort it at the roadside so they just recovered the car — no second call, no second wait."

Tyre Repair Questions
The things drivers ask us most — answered plainly. Still stuck? Just call.
Can you repair a puncture at the roadside?
Yes, where it's safe to do so. A nail or screw in the tread, within the central three-quarters and under 6mm across, is usually repairable on the spot — and you drive away.
Can a sidewall puncture be repaired?
No. The sidewall flexes constantly as you drive, so a repair there can't be trusted at speed. The same goes for the shoulder. That tyre needs replacing, and we'll tell you straight rather than patch something unsafe.
What if my tyre can't be repaired?
Then it's replaced. And if it can't be sorted at the roadside at all — a buckled wheel, an unsafe spot — we recover your vehicle. Same company, same call, no second wait.
Do you carry new tyres?
We aim to sort you on the first visit wherever possible. Tell us your tyre size when you call (it's printed on the sidewall, like 205/55 R16) and we'll confirm exactly what we can do before we set off.
My car has no spare wheel — can you still help?
Yes. Most modern cars only carry a sealant kit, not a spare. You don't need either — stay put and call us. We come to you, assess the tyre, and repair, replace or recover.
Can you repair or replace a run-flat?
A run-flat that has been driven on while flat is not repairable — its structure is compromised, so it needs replacing. Tell us the make and model when you call and we'll confirm what's possible.
Do I need a membership?
No. There's nothing to join and nothing to renew. You pay per job, only when you need us, with the price confirmed upfront.
How fast can you reach me?
Most UK drivers are reached in under 45 minutes. We give you an ETA the moment you call and keep you updated until we arrive.
